WeldLinkpro?
A: WeldLinkpro was developed to be
applicable in most fabrication and construction industries including but
limited to: Nuclear, Aerospace, Petrochemical, Defense, Marine and many
more.
Q: Is WeldLinkpro customizable?
A: Yes, WeldLinkpro was designed to
be modified by the user as much as possible to meet your projects
specifications. As each project is unique so is each application of
WeldLinkpro. Contact our sales team for further information on options
for customization.
Q: Am I required to load WeldLinkpro on
each computer in the company?
A: No, WeldLinkpro is a web-based
software application installed on a web server. Therefore, it is not
necessary to load software on individual work stations.
Q: WeldLinkpro is paperless but are
Reports printable?
A: Yes, Reports are printable and
can also be saved as PDF images.
Q: How do I get more information on
WeldLinkpro?
A: Further information can be found
on the Product Information page on our website.
Q: Can information be imported into
WeldLinkpro?
A: Yes, information can be imported
into WeldLinkpro such as, material logs, welder qualification logs,
inspector qualification logs and welding procedure logs.
Q: Does WeldLinkpro track weld rejects?
A: Yes, WeldLinkpro tracks weld
rejects which can be queried in a wide range of categories including:
Welder, position, process, joint configuration, inspection method and
many more.
Q: How many users can be added to
WeldLinkpro?
A: Because WeldLinkpro is a
web-based application, there’s no need to purchase individual user
licenses. Once WeldLinkpro is installed, your company can add as many
users as necessary.
Q: Can weld maps be added to WeldLinkpro?
A: Yes, weld maps can be uploaded to
the Weld Data Log portion of WeldLinkpro as PDF images.
Q: Are hold points able to be assigned
to tasks or inspections?
A: Yes, hold points are a feature of
the Weld Data Log and can be assigned as needed.
Q: Does WeldLinkpro manage weld repairs?
A: Following a rejected task or NDE
report, the user is given the option to create a critical or noncritical
weld repair report.
Q: Can bar codes be used to replace
traditional markings?
A: Yes, bar-code technology is
enabled as an option to replace traditional markings.
Q: Can individual access rights be
assigned?
A: Yes, User Groups are created
based on project specific access rights. Adding Users to these groups to
manages access rights. E.G. (John Doe can be added to the Inspector
group allowing access to all NDE reports.)
Q: Can final document packages be
produced for final project compliance?
A: Yes, WeldLinkpro manages all
inspections and repairs by using the Data Packet feature. Real time
status of tasks and inspections can be viewed for individual welds or
the entire project can be viewed and printed for final compliance.
Q: How does my project specific
requirement get loaded into WeldLinkpro?
A: Optimally, project specific
information such as required tasks, inspections and hold points are
added to WeldLinkpro prior to fabrication. This can be accomplished by a
combination of two options. First, manually enter this information into
the application or, secondly, by uploading from an Excel spreadsheet.
Q: Does WeldLinkpro support document
revisions?
A: All NDE and Repair Reports give
the user the choice to revise the current documents or create a new
document.
Q: Can pictures and/or sketches be added
to reports?
A: Yes, images can be uploaded and
added to reports as attachments. Additionally, these uploads can be
printed as part of the Data Packet described in FAQ # 16.
Q: Can reports be signed electronically?
A: Yes, WeldLinkpro supports
electronic data capturing of signatures.
Q: Can material be tracked using
WeldLinkpro?
A: Yes, material can be tracked
using a multitude of features including the Material Data Log and Weld
Data Logs for full material traceability.
Q: Does the software support Heat
Straightening Reports (HSR)?
A: Yes, Heat Straightening Reports
are available for tracking heat straightening applications.
Q: Can our existing SAP software be
integrated into WeldLinkpro?
A: Our Professional Development Team
has experience integrating existing software with WeldLinkpro for
seamless data transfer.
Q: Does WeldLinkpro NDE and inspection
reports support Lot Testing?
A: Yes, NDE and inspection reports
have the ability of applying Lot Testing of welds and/or components.
Q: Are there limitations to the filler
metals listed as part of WeldLinkpro?
A: No, any filler metal reference
can be added or removed to meet your project specific requirements
regardless of the code used.
Q: Is it possible to add comments to NDE
and inspection reports?
A: Yes, areas are available on all
NDE and inspection reports to add comments.
